The Manta RaysAre Back in Baa Atoll

They have been expected and haven't kept us waiting for too long - the Manta Rays have returned to Baa Atoll for the season! Don't miss out on the opportunity to swim with these gentle giants!

The Maldives is one of the few places where you can see Manta Rays in massive numbers and Baa Atoll, they are known to be found between June and November. This year, however, they showed up early hand have started to congregate at the known places in and around Baa Atoll. This gives the unique opportunity to spot them before the 'regular' sighting season. We therefore highly recommend to join us on one of our trips to Hanifaru Bay. Sign up for the Manta-On-Call program with the team of Ocean Fanatics and make use of the greatest opportunity to snorkel with these gentle giants. Hanifaru Bay by the way is known as the biggest manta feeding station in the world and it is also famous as a nursery for sharks and stingrays. Reet mantas can have a wingspan of up to 3.3 m and whale sharks can grow up to 12m long. Both mantas and whale sharks are generally elusive creatures and are vulnerable to extinction, which makes Baa Atoll - and Hanifaru Bay - even more special. Book your snorkel excursion and if you are lucky, you might be able to see this amazing spectacle with your own eyes. An experience not to miss - and definitely not to forget!
